Vanung University welcomed faculty and students from Frostburg State University (FSU) to join the short-term hospitality program recently. The sisterhood between FSU and VNU allows several VNU students to study in FSU for one year as exchange students. There have been twenty exchange students successfully going through the short-term program since 2012, and three students are now studying in FSU.
Professor Thomas C. Chuang, President of Vanung University asserted that VNU is the only university of Taoyuan Aerotropolis with the unique geographical convenience. The factors of both employment orientation and practical curricula strike the industries of Food & Beverage Management, Creative Design, Aeronautical and Opto-Mechantronic. The international talent cultivation provides oversea scholarships and attracts many foreign students to study at VNU. The six-week custom-made program will surely be a rewarding journey. The full English curricula provide both FSU and VNU students with the expetise of Hospitality Human Resources Management, Wine Tasting, Bar and Beverage Management, and Chinese/Taiwanese Baking Cultures.
Professor Wu Shun-cheng, the director of the Hotel Management Department, stated that this program not only promotes a precious interaction among students but also broadens VNU students’ global views.
