Vanung University (VNU) won a silver medal and a bronze medal at the Taipei International Invention Show & Technomart Invention (Taipei INST). The award-winning “facial mask spray” is, in particular, a unique invention, which distinguished from traditional facial mask sheets made from non-woven fabric or water-jet fabric.
Traditionally, facial mask sheets formulated with active factors are applied to the skin and allowed to realize stimulating and healing effects. However, the effects may be varied depending on whether facial masks are well adhered to the skin. In addition, while the use of clay or cream-based facial masks is time-consuming and therefore not convenient, the users may also run the risk of infection by the hands.
Considering that these problems have existed for years, Chen Yu-chi, assistant professor of Department of Cosmetic Science, Vanung University (VNU) led a team of students in developing this “facial mask spray”. It can be applied to any part of the body to help rehydrate and replenish skin, including face, elbow and knee…etc. The film created by this “facial mask spray” can be removed after 10 minutes, when the nutrients are completely absorbed by the skin. It’s clean, convenient and efficient, a perfect companion for pink-collar workers who wish to nourish and pamper their skin during autumn and winter.
