Three hundred students in Vanung University volunteered in the Sunrise LPGA Taiwan Championship of 2012 (the Sunrise LPGA Taiwan Championship 2012 volunteer cooperation memorandum.) The significant sports fair in Taiwan this year will be hold during October 25 to 28. To provide professional standard services, the manager of the country golf club, Me-Lan Huang, also the host of the championship came to visit yesterday and signed the volunteer cooperation memorandum with Professor Tom Chuang, the president of Vanung University. Not only to continue the cooperation from last year, they expanded the cooperation and invited 300 hundred students from the department of Tourism and Leisure into the voluntary this year. Vanung University became the school with the most volunteers invited.
Ever since the Sunrise LPGA Taiwan Championship of 2011, the championship had brought the population that has never seen in the sports field. Breaking a couple records in the sports field, there were total of 67 thousand audience there in four days, Over 300 national/international reports showed up, and total of 29 countries, a hundred and eighty-seven million families watching the live TV broadcast, created over six hundred million dollars economic profits.
This year, the LPGA Taiwan Championship of 2012 will light up the fire again from October 25th to 28th. The Sunrise Country Golf Club indicates that there will be at least 7 of the world’s top ten players in the competition. Of course, Yani Tseng, the representative of Taiwan will be the spot light of the game. Her fans are looking forward to seeing the Glory of Taiwan to win the championship. Following the cooperation experiences from the tournament last year, the manager of the Sunrise Country Golf Club, Me-Lan Huang, also the host of the championship came to visit yesterday and signed the 2012 Sunrise LPGA Taiwan Competition Volunteer Cooperation Memorandum with Tom Chuang, the president of Vanung University. There are a total of 300 students involved, besides the professional training on volunteering and services, they have to put in services like maintaining orders, restaurant services and guiding the game.
President Tom Chuang concluded that Vanung University has the highest employment rate in all the universities of technology. Moreover, Vanung receives the highest grant under the plan of the Ministry of Education Teaching Excellence in all the universities of technology in most northern cities as well. In a large international competition like LPGA, volunteer is the most important key no matter on accommodation, competition, practice courts, traffic, food, living and tours. Students from the department of Tourism and Leisure can put it by completing full volunteer training and actual handling to learn great professional experiences as well as broaden their world views.
The manager of the Sunrise Country Golf Club, Me-Lan Huang also indicates that the Sunrice Company and GAROC have been holding the Sunrise LPGA Taiwanese Competition from 2011 to 2013 with the international platform LPGA, the purpose is not only to encourage golf but expend the international diplomacy as well as to promote the recognition of Taiwan. Vanung University is definitely the best sources for labor plow and resources for this competition.
